Installation guide - Slides for Mac

1. Following your sign up for a trial or a request for a new user account, check your email for a message with the download link. (Don't forget to check your spam folder).
2. Click on the link to download the install package. If you didn't receive an email, email us (support@empower.express) 
3. Ensure PowerPoint and Excel are closed (check background processes too).
4. Double click on the downloaded .pkg install file to start the install process and follow the onscreen prompts.
5. Once the file installation is complete, you will get a message to say you can can launch PowerPoint.
6. When prompted to select a configuration file, select the 'RemoteServiceConfig.xml' file from the downloaded files folder.
7. It is recommended to allow notifications.
8. If prompted to log in, please use your Microsoft 365 account credentials (email address and associated password) if you have a Microsoft Business edition 365 account.
9. If you don't, we will have created you an account to use on empower and we will have sent you a login and temporary password to use
10. Following this, the initial sync will begin. This can take up to about 15mins (and during this time, you can continue to use PowerPoint).
11. Once you receive the completion notification, please restart your computer to begin using empower®.
