Setting up a design element library

Want to create an easy-to-access design asset library? 

empower® Express makes it easy for you to put all your assets in one place so they are quick and easy to retrieve - and making it easy to create new content and seamlessly stay on brand.

The features of the Corporate Design templates folders are:

  • All your content is readily accessible directly in PowerPoint - immediate and visual 
  • Each folder gives you different folder areas in which to categorize your content:
    • Slides - framework layouts so users can quickly insert create new slides on brand
    • Text elements - formatted shapes, text boxes and groups of shapes to create key objects efficiently on brand
    • Charts - create a chart library, so formatting is quick and consistent
    • Tables - create a variety of formats to insert or apply
    • Icons - select from your company folder icons and the extensive Icons8 collection
    • Pictures - save up your company images, logos and pictures or select from the UnSplash collection of 2 million+ copyright-free images
  • It is fully searchable (including searching the content of each slide and metadata and tags)
  • Content can be used to insert or apply formats, size and positions
  • Branded and non-branded elements are available in each folder

How do you create your design asset library?

  1. Create or assemble your design assets
  2. Select your content - can be single or multiple objects or slides
  3. Save the content to the library, via Library - Save
  4. Select 'what' you would like to save
  5. Click on 'Save As'
  6. Select the destination folder
  7. Name your file/slide/object
  8. Save and your content will be uploaded to the library
  9. Other users in your team will be able to see and access the content after they have run a sync

Top tips

ADMIN_System admin  Admin: Decide on how to manage your content - central administration or whole team input and
       the process for creation and maintenance. Different permissions levels are available.

ADMIN_Subfolders  Subfolders: Create subfolders to organize your content logically and to facilitate easier discovery
       and access.

ADMIN_Naming  Names:  Name objects logically considering the default alphabetical sort order; you can also use
       numbers and symbols to achieve the most logical and user-friendly order.

ADMIN_search  Search: In busy folders, it makes sense to use the search tools to find content. For more efficient
       searching, add additional search terms to names or tags to make the search more effective.
