Using content with multiple languages

empower® has a range of tools to make working with different languages easy and efficient

Translation tools

• Use DeepL translation tool or the AI Assistant to translate and edit blocks of text, full slides or whole presentations.

• The Translate tool uses DeepL to translate single slides or full presentations. You can select options to keep original slides and to mark slides as translated.

• The AI Assistant also has translation tools. Select the text and then apply preset commands or specify tone options such as formal or casual.

Set language tools

• Use ‘Finalize – Spelling’ to set or change the language of your presentation or slides centrally.

• A file can have many different language settings – each text box can be set differently.

• Set the language for a whole presentation so that the spellcheck can check and make corrections consistently.

Checks

• The Finalize set of tools (Spell check and consistency check), have options for checking quality and consistency and ensuring standards.

• The Consistency check tool (inspects your file for corporate wording errors, and grammar settings). You can review the errors and choose which ones you would like to correct.

• The Spell Check tool checks the spelling throughout the file.

Library Language tags and Language groups

• Language tags can be attached to an element, slide or presentations.

• Language tags can be automatically detected on upload or assigned and changed as required.

• Universal can be applied if no language tag is required.

• Elements can be sorted and filtered by their language tags.

• Multiple slides with different language tags can be grouped as a translation group.

• Use the language translation groups to link elements and ensure any changes are applied consistently
