The empower® Removal Tool can be used to remove empower® completely and should be used in troubleshooting scenarios where a simple uninstall using Windows - Installed Apps option hasn't worked.
What it does

All installer and uninstaller information is removed from the Windows Registry and the Windows Package Cache and all program installation folders are removed.

The add-ins are removed and the integration is removed from Microsoft, start menus and auto-start entries.

All user-specific file-based caches, configurations and log files of empower® are removed.

All product-specific entries in the registry hive are removed, this includes all entries under HKLM as well as all user hives and entries located under HKU.DEFAULT.

All COM class registrations for the add-in entry point are removed.
How to use it

Close all Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel PowerPoint and Outlook).

Make sure you have admin permissions on the device.

Download the empower® Removal Tool by clicking HERE.

Download the tool from the linked source above and extract the .zip folder. The unzipped folder contains the file empowerRemovalTool.CLI.exe.

Double-click on the file empowerRemovalTool.CLI.exe.

The tool will then remove empower® from your device.
- When the tool has finished the process, it produces a return code:
- 0 = The removal has been successful.
- 7 = Office is still running. The removal could not be executed.
- 9 = An unexpected error occurred.
